AbstractThis study aimed to quantify the height of the mandibular condyle and ramus, condylar volume, and the asymmetry index in adult patients of different sex, skeletal class and vertical pattern using Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT), and to determine whether there were differences between these groups. The study used CBCT scans of 159 patients with a mean age of 32.32 ± 8.31 years. InVivoDental® software was used to perform both linear (condylar, ramal, and total height) and condylar volume measurements. Linear and volumetric asymmetries were calculated. Objective: To evaluate the effect of tooth loss, age, and gender on mandibular morphology. Background: This study aimed to determine if mandibular parameters (gonial angle, bigonial width and ramus height) measured from panoramic radiographs, can be used to determine a correlation with an individual’s age and gender in dentate subjects in Far North Queensland. Material and Methods: The study utilised 2699 randomly selected panoramic radiographs of patients between the ages of 19-69 years, from which 220 fulfilled the inclusion criteria.
